Rachel Plassmeyer, daughter of Joe and Maurie Plassmeyer of Oakville, and Brad Bene´, son of Wayne and Lynn Bene´ of Oakville, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

Plassmeyer is a graduate of Cor Jesu Academy. She also graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and Spanish, and St. Louis University with a master’s degree in international business. Plassmeyer is employed by Iron Rock Capital Partners.

Her fiancé, Bene´, attended De Smet Jesuit High School. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in business administration. He is employed by the Hussman Corp.

The couple plan an August wedding.
