The St. Louis County Planning Commission recommended approval of a zoning change for an office building at 5757 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

The plan would add upgrades to the building and parking lot, while also adding medical offices to approved uses. The proposal has been tabled in the past by the commission to allow petitioners to address concerns about a stormwater retention pond between the building and a nearby neighborhood, the Five Oaks subdivision.

The petitioner addressed those concerns June 13 with a few changes. They will remove the cattails from the pond, plant grass and remove blockage from an outlet pipe. The changes would turn the pond into a dry detention basin and eliminate mosquito breeding.

The commission voted 5-0 to recommend approval of the proposal.
