An adult male pedestrian was fatally struck at the intersection of South Broadway and Horn avenues during the early morning hours of March 27.

According to a news release from the St. Louis County Police Department, officers from the South County Precinct responded to a call for service at approximately 3:10 a.m. for a person struck in the 9200 block of South Broadway Avenue at Horn Avenue. Once at the scene, the officers located the victim and transported him to an area hospital for treatment. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. 

Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was in the roadway at the time he was struck. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing police investigation. More information will be disseminated once it is available.
