To the editor:
I would like your readers to be made aware of a bill proposed in the U.S. House of Representatives.
It is the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act, or PACT Act.
It will give our government the legal muscle it needs to stop animal cruelty and the ability to prosecute offenders.
This will be the first-ever general animal abuse law.
Please write or call U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and let her know that you support this bill.
The animals will be so grateful.
