Richard John Dittmann, 63, of House Springs, died Jan. 8 at St. Clare Hospital. Dittmann was born July 25, 1958, in St. Louis to Sebastian and Joan (DeGunia) Dittmann. He was a 1976 graduate of St. Pius X High School and retired from the Bricklayers Local No. 1 of Missouri. Rich was a key volunteer with St. Martin of Tours Athletic Association for years where he coached, participated in fundraisers and physically contributed to many site improvements. After moving to High Ridge, he continued volunteering as a member of the Knights of Columbus Post #8588, the ACTS program of St. Anthony of Padua, High Ridge, and Our Lady Queen of Peace, House Springs, and with St. Vincent de Paul Society. He enjoyed bowling, ping pong, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his only daughter, Catrina (Tom) McFarland; his two sons, Anthony (Taylor) Dittmann and Andrew Dittmann; his partner Mary Sutton; his grandchildren, Makenzie, Michael, Matthew, Madelyn and Sebastian; his five brothers: Jim, Paul, Dan, Mike, and Tim; plus many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
