Obituary For Patricia G. Sullivan (née Miller)

Patricia “Pat” G. Sullivan (née Miller), 93, of St. Louis for 93 years, died April 24.

Pat was born on Jan. 3, 1933, in St. Louis to William and Mary Amolia (née Keutzer) Miller. She was married to John W. Sullivan on Aug. 21, 1954, at Resurrection of Our Lord Church.

Pat is survived by Kathy (the late Bob) Sontag of St. Louis; Maureen (Dan) Borkowski of St. Louis; Mike (Sandy) Sullivan of Houston; Matt (Dady) Sullivan of St. Augustine, Florida; Elaine (Tim) Valentine of Fenton; and Laura (JoJo) Sullivan of Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Pat was our dear Grandma Pattiecake and GG; a dear aunt, cousin and friend. She was a proud resident of the city of St. Louis, a lifelong member of Resurrection Parish and a Rosati-Kain High School graduate. She loved the Cardinals, the Muny and her Dutchtown neighborhood. She enjoyed Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and her word puzzles, which she shared with her dear late sister, Helen.

Pat never met a stranger. She enjoyed talking to people and always managed to find some connection. She enjoyed working as an Avon lady and in the Sears credit department, as she met so many people.

When she finally left her family home on Alberta Street, after more than 80 years, she moved to Our Lady of Life, where she told everyone, “I feel like I’m on vacation every day!” In 2024, as her health was declining, she moved to Mary Queen and Mother, where she was thrilled to be able to play bingo almost every day.

Pat was honored by the Dutchtown South Community Corporation for her service as a board member and her dedication to maintaining the vitality of the neighborhood.

Services were provided by Kutis Affton Chapel. A requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. Binh Nguyen at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, 3900 Meramec Street, on May 18, followed by interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
