Obituary For Michael Langsdorf
Burial Date: July 1, 2019. North County Police Cooperative Officer Michael Langsdorf, 40, died June 23, 2019 in the line of duty. Langsdorf was a South County native and 1997 Mehlville High School graduate. His father, Jerry Langsdorf, was the principal of Margaret Buerkle Middle School before retiring in 2003, and his mother, Elizabeth, taught at Hancock Elementary School. Langsdorf worked for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for 17 years, before starting with the North County Police Cooperative in April. Langsdorf is survived by a fiancee and two children. Visitation is set for from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 30 at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary in St. Louis, 6464 Chippewa Street. The funeral is at 10 a.m. Monday, July 1 at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, followed immediately by interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Affton.
