Burial Date: November 15, 2021. Mary Lorraine Steinmann (nee Aulbach), 87, of Waterloo, Illinois, died Nov. 10 in Red Bud, Illinois. She was born July 2, 1934, in St. Louis. She is survived by her children Susan Stevens, Patricia (Ronald Roderfeld) Steinmann, Annette (Michael) Wolf and Warren (Kimberly) Steinmann Jr.; grandchildren Robert Stevens, William Roderfeld, Michael Jr., Ashley and Brendan Wolf, Klaus, Kaden, Maxx, Brooke and Blair Steinmann; sister Doris Schaan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mary Aulbach, Orlou Herzog, Glen (Aileen) Steinmann and Mathilda Bauer; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Warren F. Steinmann, Sr.; parents Frederick W. and Amelia M. (nee Schnellmann) Aulbach; brothers Ulysses, Curtis, Frederick Jr., Marshall, Kenneth and Clarence Aulbach. Mary was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church – Waterloo, VFW Metzger-Crook Post 6504 Ladies Auxiliary and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She was retired from Monroe County Nursing Home. As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Waterloo VFW – Ladies Auxiliary – Returning Soldiers Fund. Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 14 at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral mass was Monday, Nov. 15 at SS Peter & Paul Church in Waterloo. Father Linus Umoren C.M. officiated. Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Madonnaville, Illinois.
