Nations punished with weather, mass shootings because of abortion

Letters to the Editor

To the editor:

Have you ever wondered about all the national disasters that have rocked our headlines in the past years? Tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, forest fires, drought, mass shootings, terrorist attacks…. headline after headline.

I know who controls the weather. (Amos 4:6-13). I know who sends prosperity and disaster. (Isaiah 45:7). I know who punishes nations. (Psalm 94:8-10).

Recently I had a niece ask me, “Do you really think that God could be angry with us?” I answered, “Do you really think he is pleased with the deaths of 60 million aborted babies?”

If the God of the Bible is concerned about widows and orphans and lost sheep and the brokenhearted and the prodigals, do you think he is also concerned about those innocent babies, dismembered and thrown away or sold for parts by the “medical profession”?

There is a theme repeated over and over in the Bible: “…by doing evil in the eyes of the Lord your God, you have provoked him to anger…therefore you have brought harm to yourselves.” (Jeremiah 25:3-7). What do you think? Is he angry? Duh.
