A Missouri Lottery player recently won $2 million from a “Diamonds & Gold” ticket purchased at the Mehlville Dierbergs, 2516 Lemay Ferry Drive.
“I was looking at it, and I thought it was $50,000 at first,” the recent winner stated in a press release. “I showed it to my wife and she said that I needed to take it up to get it checked.”
Upon taking the ticket up to the cashier for checking, the man found he had not won $50,000, instead winning one of the game’s top prizes of $2 million.
“I didn’t believe it. I still didn’t believe it,” he stated.
Since its release on Dec. 30, “Diamonds & Gold” players have won over $5 million in prizes playing the $20 game. There are currently over $45.8 million in unclaimed prizes, including another top prize of $2 million and four $100,000 prizes.
Missouri Lottery players who purchased tickets in St. Louis County in fiscal year 2024 won more than $200.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $19.4 million in commissions and bonuses and more than $161.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
