Crestwood Animal Control will sponsor a microchipping clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Community Center in Whitecliff.
Yorkshire Animal Hospital and Friends of Animals are event co-sponsors.
Veterinarian Dale Diesel of Yorkshire Animal Hospital will donate his time to microchip up to 50 dogs and cats. Similar to a vaccination, a tiny microchip is im-planted into the shoulder area of the animal where it provides a lifelong form of identification. Cost of the procedure is $25 per pet, which includes PetTrac registration on AVID’s FriendChip 24-hour national network — a $15 value.
