The Mehlville Fire Protection District Board of Directors recently voted unanimously to approve a $181,210 contract for a new ambulance.
Board members voted April 30 to purchase the Osage ambulance from Emergency Services Supply, the low bidder. The company’s base bid was $172,745.
The approved contract includes options totaling $8,465, Assistant Chief Dan LaFata told the board.
The only other bidder, Sentinel Emergency Solutions, submitted a proposal of $185,876 for the ambulance.
Bids for the ambulance were opened April 16 by the board. The district is scheduled to take delivery of the new ambulance in January.
