Mehlville investment

rep receives honors

John E. Roland, Jr., the Mehlville investment representative for the financial-services firm Edward Jones, was one of 60 representatives honored at a business management forum in New York City.

In addition, Roland met with other Edward Jones investment representatives to share ideas for increasing office efficiency, improving customer service, increasing investment knowledge, and expanding his knowledge in the area of estate planning.

HealthSouth earns

3-year accreditation

HealthSouth South County Surgery Center has earned a three-year accreditation from the Joint Commission on Healthcare Org-anizations.

The Commission, formed in 1951, is dedicated to improving the quality of the nation’s health care through voluntary accreditation. South County Surgery Center was accredited after a surveyor from Joint Commission conducted an on-site survey in December.

Bergsieker promoted by formal wear firm

Castelli by Formal America recently announced the promotion of Concord resident Kurt Bergsieker to store manager according to Promotions manager and the hiring of Jennifer Anderson.

Bergsieker has been with the company for three years. “Castelli by Formal America is a great company to work for,” said Bergsieker. “My goal is to continue growing with the company.” Bergsieker will be the manager of the store at Manchester Commons.

Mungenast wins fifth straight award

Dave Mungenast’s St. Louis Honda earned Honda’s President’s Award for outstanding performance in 2002.

This award is given only to dealerships that demonstrate excellence throughout all areas of their operations, including customer satisfaction, service and sales.

“Winning an award isn’t what’s really important to us, but this award speaks to the way we work with our customers,” said Mungenast.

Federal Reserve Bank promotes a local man

The Super-vision and Regulation Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis an-nounced that Gary J. Juelich, of Oakville, has been promoted to assistant vice president.

He is responsible for oversight of the safety and soundness examinations of the community state member banks and inspection of troubled community bank holding companies in the Federal Reserve’s Eighth District, as well as the independent and integrated information technology examinations.

Juelich joined the Reserve Bank in 1975. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Louis University.
