The Mehlville Fire Protection District will hold a holiday food drive and children can meet and write letters to Santa during “Santa Saturday” this weekend at the district headquarters in Green Park.
The annual event will take place from from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Mehlville Engine House 5, 11020 Mueller Road.
The fire district will be collecting canned goods for Feed My People to help those in need during the holiday season.
Bring your camera and take photos of your children with Santa, firefighters and fire/medics, who will be available to teach children about fire safety. Additionally, children will be able to see the fire truck, the ambulance and fire gear displays.
New this year, pencils and paper will be provided so that children can write their wish lists and letters to Santa, which will be put in a mailbox for delivery to the North Pole.
Refreshments will be served.
If you can’t make it Saturday, the holiday food drive runs started Dec. 1 and runs until Dec. 20. Canned food can be donated at any MFPD firehouse.
