The Mehlville Board of Education will vote on the 2020 tax rate at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, during the annual scheduled tax rate hearing. This year’s proposed blended rate is $3.8056 per $100 dollars of assessed valuation, a slight increase from last year’s rate, which was $3.7994.

The standard state auditor tax calculation resulted in a blended rate of $3.8056 compared to $3.7994 last year.

The tax-rate hearing will be held in the Mehlville High School Library, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road, but because of social distancing efforts due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance will be limited and face coverings will be required.

A livestream of the tax rate hearing can be viewed on the district’s Youtube channel, youtube.com/mehlvilleschools
