A 46-year-old Lemay man was struck and killed Thursday afternoon while crossing Telegraph Road.
Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department’s South County Precinct responded about 5:45 p.m. to a report of person struck by a vehicle in the 2900 block of Telegraph Road.
Michael McDaniel of the 3000 block of Sedan Drive was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Telegraph while attempting to cross the street. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, police report.
The man was wearing all dark clothing at the time of the accident. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The accident is under investigation by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and Crime Scene Unit.
