St. Louis County police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that took place on Feb. 18 in the 5200 block of Lemay Ferry Road. The deceased has been identified as Stephen Rausch, 67, of Arnold.
At 7:19 p.m., police officers from the South County Precinct responded to a call about a motorcycle crash on Lemay Ferry Road. On the scene, officers discovered Rausch suffering from life-threatening injuries; he was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Rausch was traveling southbound when the motorcycle struck a curb. He lost control of the vehicle and was ejected.
