While in Oakville running errands, a Missouri Lottery player decided to purchase a “Nutcracker Cash” Scratchers ticket at Wallis Petroleum, 4359 Telegraph Road.
“It was the first time playing this game,” the unnamed winner said. “I usually purchase the lower-priced tickets, but every once in a while, we will buy a higher-priced one like this.”
Once home, he began scratching the $10 ticket while sitting at his dining room table. The more spots he uncovered, the higher his prize grew.
“I kept showing it to my wife and asked, ‘Does this say what it says it does?’” the unnamed winner said. “She told me to keep scratching!”
And scratch he did, until the couple discovered the ticket held one of the game’s top prizes of $200,000.
As of The Call’s press time, players of “Nutcracker Cash” have won more than $7.6 million in prizes since the game was released this past October. Over $9 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including an additional top prize of $200,000.
