Lenihan wins GOP nod in Missouri Senate’s 1st District

Oakville health CEO David Lenihan will face Rep. Doug Beck, D-Affton, after winning the Republican nomination for the 1st District Senate seat curently held by Scott Sifton.

Facing Mitchell Kohlberg in the GOP primary, Lenihan earned 7,266 votes or 66 percent of the vote, while Kohlberg  garnered 3,722 votes or 33 percent.

Lenihan was set to co-host a fundraiser this week with special guest Gov. Mike Parson for fellow Republicans Sen. Andrew Koenig and Rep. Jim Murphy at Royale Orleans in South County after The Call went to press, along with Reps. Mike O’Donnell, David Gregory and Mary Elizabeth Coleman.
