Charges were issued last week by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office against a Lemay man who attempted to cash stolen lottery tickets.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, Armando Sheti, 27, of the 700 block of Dace Lane, 63125, was charged Oct. 12 with four counts of second degree burglary and four counts of misdemeanor stealing.

According to a probable cause statement, Sheti burglarized multiple businesses on and near Union Road between Sept. 9 and Oct. 5, where U.S. currency or lottery tickets were taken. The businesses targeted include Tucker’s, Taste of Bosnia and Laguna Grill, which were burglarized on Sept. 12. All thefts were captured on video.

On Oct. 5, the European Grocery Store was also burglarized, wherein lottery tickets were taken.

The suspect later was captured on video cashing the tickets, and he ultimately confessed to burglarizing the four businesses.

Sheti is being held on $5,000 cash-only, no-10% bond.
