The League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis and Call Newspapers are hosting a forum March 5 for residents to hear from the candidates running for the four open seats on the Mehlville School District Board of Education in the upcoming municipal elections.
Election Day is Tuesday, April 2.
The moderated candidate forum will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Andre’s South, 4254 Telegraph Road.
The event is open to the public.
Ten candidates are running to fill four seats on the board: two two-year-term seats and two three-year-term seats.
The candidates will appear on the April 2 ballot as follows:
– Peggy Hassler (Incumbent)
– Jean Pretto (Incumbent)
– Mike Moore
– Bob Mahacek
– Sasha Schmittgens
– Venki Palamand
Three-year term candidates (two positions available):
– Patrick McKelvey (Incumbent)
– Amy Summers
– Tori Behlke (Incumbent)
– James L. (Simo) Simokaitis
