Kiwanis Club honors Student of the Month

Lindbergh High School senior Sydney Offner celebrates her Student of the Month honor with Nancy Benson, right, of the Kiwanis Club of Crestwood-Sunset Hills, and LHS counselor Kate Keegan, left.

Lindbergh High School senior Sydney Offner recently was named Student of the Month by the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club.

In September, the club recognized Sydney Offner for her academic achievements and extracurricular involvement. Sydney has a 4.0 grade-point average, and is a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, Character Council and Lunch Buddies.

In addition, she has served on the Sunday Night Light committee, works with Friends of Kids with Cancer and is a recipient of the Platinum Renaissance Award. She plans to attend a four-year college next fall.

The Kiwanis Club of Crestwood-Sunset Hills recently honored Lindbergh High School senior Emily Guyer as its Student of the Month. Emily was honored for her academic excellence as well as for her character traits of caring, responsibility and respect. She would like to pursue a world history teaching career.     • The campaign committee for Mehlville School District’s Proposition S, Mehlville-Oakville United, hosted a donut drive thru Saturday, March 13 at Mehlville High School, Washington Middle School and  Oakville Middle/Wohlwend Elementary.
