Team ICE Girls recently won the Champions’ Award and built the highest-scoring robot in the field competition at the FIRST LEGO League qualifier event at Webster University. The team, which includes Kennerly Elementary School fourth-graders Jessica Baan, left, and Jenna Roth, also was named the best all-around team for a research project — Parkinson’s disease — robot design, programming and performance. The girls now advance to the Eastern Missouri Championship on Sunday, Dec. 5, at St. Louis Community CollegeFlorissant Valley.
