Jovita Hamtil and Bob Tripi were married on June 13, 1959, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Shrewsbury with the Rev. Harold Voelker officiating.
Bob is retired from the Family Court of the city of St. Louis, where he was employed for 35 years as a caseworker, marriage counselor and supervisor.
Jovita is retired from the Special School District of St. Louis County where she was employed as a teacher and psychological examiner for 32 years.
They have three children: John Jr. of South Jordan, Utah; Steven of St. Louis; and Mary Jo Welch of St. Louis.
Their grandchildren are John Jr.’s sons, Daniel and David Tripi of South Jordan, Utah; Steve’s children, Anna, John M. and his stepchildren, B.J. Haydar, Scott and Tony Alaimo; and Mary Jo’s daughters, Sylvia, Nicole and Sophie.
