St. Anthony’s Medical Center offers cholesterol testing to the community from 8 to 11 a.m. every Thursday of the month.
The test requires a 12-hour fast and includes screening for total cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density lipoproteins, low-density lipoproteins, risk ratio and glucose test, according to a news release.
Avoiding alcohol for 48 hours before the test is recommended.
A free blood pressure check will be provided as part of the testing process.
A copy of the cholesterol test results will be provided at the time of testing, the release stated.
Cholesterol testing is available at St. Anthony’s Employee Health and Wellness Department on the second floor of the Hyland Education and Training Center, 10020 Kennerly Road.
The cost of the test is $30.
