A public hearing on the Missouri-American Water Co.’s request to the Missouri Public Service Commission to increase its rates for water and wastewater service by $75 million will take place next week in Arnold.
A question-and-answer period is scheduled at noon Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Arnold City Hall, 2010 Jeffco Blvd. The public hearing will follow at 12:30 p.m.
The proposed rate increase is designed to recover costs for necessary improvements to maintain reliable water and wastewater service, according to the company.
