Twenty-one new residential lots will eventually be going for sale on Gates Manor Court in Sunset Hills, after a record plat was approved during the Sunset Hills Board of Aldermen meeting on June 10. This batch of single-family homes will make up a newly distinguished subdivision.
The Gates Manor neighborhood was originally subdivided into 11 lots in 1978, but in 2022, developers received zoning entitlements for a 21-lot single-family home subdivision — also called Gates Manor — according to Mike Knight, the city’s director of planning and public works.
In 2024, construction began on retaining walls, and sanitary and storm sewer systems. Knight says the majority of this work has been completed.
Since the plat’s approval, these 21 lots have been formally created and will be able to be sold to new homeowners. Three display homes are already under construction at Gates Manor Court.
