Friendship Village announced the acquisition and launch of its Friendship Village at Home service, which brings “much-needed” Medicare-certified home care, in addition to personal and private duty home care, to seniors in St. Louis, Jefferson and St. Charles counties. Now more seniors can stay in their homes longer and receive Medicare-covered services with the help of St. Louis-owned and -managed Friendship Village at Home. Friendship Village said it has been serving seniors “with excellence” for over 40 years.

Alongside Friendship Village’s existing private duty and supportive services, the addition of Medicare-certified home care means more seniors than ever can benefit from Friendship Village’s trusted services in their home. If a senior meets all Medicare requirements, covered home-care benefits may include intermittent skilled nursing care, therapy and care provided by a home-health aide.

For adult children and relatives of seniors needing care, this acquisition brings peace of mind knowing that their loved ones will receive quality in-home care and assistance following an illness or injury even if a family member can’t be present to help.
