To the editor:
I hope that voters elect Ron Fedorchak and Tori Behlke to the Mehlville Board of Education in the Tuesday, April 3, election.
Mr. Fedorchak is a former board president and helped guide the district through the selection of two superintendents. He has a degree in chemical engineering as well as an MBA. His educational background and extensive board experience will allow him to hit the ground running from day one. He is a staunch advocate of transparency in government, and will work diligently to make sure Mehlville’s large fund balances are used to improve student achievement and increase security.
Mrs. Behlke has a degree in child development and has been an active parent, both at her kids’ schools and at the district level. The countless hours she dedicated to leadership roles, including PTO president and fundraising events, benefited all students at her kids’ schools. She is personable, approachable and willing to listen to constituents.
Having known both Mr. Fedorchak and Mrs. Behlke for many years, I can say with confidence that they would not hesitate to challenge the administration when required.
The Mehlville School District is losing two dedicated, experienced board members in Dr. Lisa Dorsey and Jamey Murphy, who have decided not to seek re-election. I thank them for their service and urge voters to elect Ron Fedorchak and Tori Behlke.
