The diversity of the Mehlville School District was on display at the Feb. 21 Board of Education meeting when Forder Elementary School students gave a presentation in multiple languages.
Six students and six staff members from Forder presented on the elementary school and its clubs, educational resources and programs. Each of the students involved in the presentation gave a portion of it spoken in one of the languages represented at Forder.
There are about 15 languages spoken at Forder and over 50 spoken throughout the Mehlville School District. After English, which is spoken by 64.3 percent of Forder students, Bosnian is spoken by 18.7 percent of students, followed by Albanian.
