Family asks to have stolen floral arrangement returned to memorial

To the editor:

We are writing this with great sadness and disbelief.

We lost our grandson at the age of 16 in October 2015. We had a bench installed at Bee Tree Park in his memory, a place to “Set a Spell,” share memories, celebrate his life and try to move forward — something Cameron would want us to do.

We decided to place an arrangement of flowers at the bench, changing them with the different seasons and holidays. Added to the arrangement would be words of inspiration for our fellow “Bee-tree-ites.”

On Nov. 1 on our way to the cemetery, we decided to stop at the park to check on our first flower arrangement. To our dismay, it had been stolen. To the person or persons who did this, shame, shame on you.

If you are reading this, you have two choices. You can continue your immoral ways or return it to the bench where we intended it to stay and be enjoyed by all.

We pray you will think about what you did and choose wisely.
