To the editor:
Based upon the Call’s weekly legislative reports, the Stars and Stripes Women’s Democratic Club voted to send our praise to state Rep. Pat Yaeger.
We appreciate her efforts in defending the education foundation formula and commend her for the clear explanation on how she votes.
Our club is saddened to learn of the cuts affecting children and that HB 288 – helping hold-harmless districts – will not be implemented due to the cuts in the formula.
Still, we wish to thank Rep. Yaeger for her bold effort and maintaining open communications with her constituents.
