Clarification

Oakville Senior High School won second sweepstakes in Interpretation, second in Debate and third in Public Speaking at the Greater St. Louis Speech Association Tournament. In addition, Oakville High student Katie Kohler was named Most Valuable Player, an award started last year that goes to the student who has an overall high point total in debate, public speaking and interpretation — congress is excluded.

Information about the tournament provided to the Call for a Jan. 30 article excluded Oakville’s additional honors.

Clarification

Joyce Mogab, who represents the area as Mrs. St. Louis, will compete in the 2013 Mrs. Missouri Pageant. Information provided to the Call contained the incorrect year of the event.

Democratic District 95 state House candidate Alice Geary Sgroi’s campaign committee raised $4,705 and spent $4,229.44 heading into last week’s election, with $2,600.56 cash on hand. A debt-service committee was terminated in July, but Sgroi’s District 95 campaign committee remains active.
