Child dies after drowning in Kennedy Recreation Complex pool

A 6-year-old child died after drowning in the Kennedy Recreation Complex Pool in south St. Louis County, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Travone Mister Jr. of the 4300 block of Seibert Avene, 63123.

St. Louis County arrived around 1:30 p.m. at the pool at 6050 Wells Road. Mister was taken to the hospital where he died.

Police said CPR was administered to the child by those on the scene. St. Louis County Crimes Against Persons detectives are investigating the drowning.
