Carol and Richard Bacon celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary July 1.
Richard L. Bacon and the former Carol Ann Ricklin were married July 1, 1961, at St. Joan of Arc Church in St. Louis.
Mr. Bacon retired as a self-employed, registered architect after 40 years.
Mrs. Bacon has been a teacher, secretary and real-estate saleswoman.
They have four children: Steve and Mary Jo Bacon of Crystal City; John and Tina Bacon of Farmington; Sue and Ted Gerard of Webster Groves; and Joe and Anita Bacon of O’Fallon.
The couple have 10 grandchildren.
Mrs. and Mrs. Bacon celebrated their anniversary at Montauk State Park, Syberg’s Restaurant and at various homes.
