The Blades Elementary Community Garden topped hundreds of gardens last week to win ‘Best Garden to Be a Kid In’ in Gateway Greening’s Garden Contest. More than 60 volunteers built Blades’ new garden, including Principal Jeremy Booker, above. ‘It’s just about building this Blades community and helping this Mehlville community just continue this upward tick we’re on and becoming a closer, tighter community,’ he said.
