Amanda Lynn McCrary, daughter of Diana and Roger Lenington of Dan-ville, Ky., and Kevin and Alice Mc-Crary of Hardinsburg, Ind., and John Richard Schraut, son of Lorraine Schraut of Oakville and the late Rich-ard Schraut, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

McCrary of Omaha, Neb., is a 1998 graduate of Taylor County High School in Campbellsville, Ky., and earned a bachelor of science degree in therapeutic recreation in 2002 from Eastern Kentucky University. She is pursuing a master’s degree in social work at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Mc-Crary is employed by the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Recrea-tional Therapy Department as a recreational therapist.

Her fiance, Schraut, is a 1996 graduate of Oakville Senior High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing in 2000 from Briar Cliff Col-lege in Sioux City, Iowa. He is em-ployed by Dana College in Blair, Neb., as an assistant director of admissions.

The couple plan an August wedding at St. Gerald’s Catholic Church in Omaha, Neb.
