The St. Louis County Office of Emergency Management issued a wind advisory from noon Wednesday to Thursday at 2 a.m.
The advisory covers the entire eastern side of Missouri and warns that south winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are expected. The winds can blow unsecured objects around and can cause tree limbs to fall, resulting in power outages.
Tall vehicles and vehicles with trailers should use extra caution when driving perpendicular to the wind. Any loose objects susceptible to wind should be secured.
