Sarah and Paul Cantrell launched Tutor Doctor Affton Crestwood in 2021. 

To date, they have helped over 300 families and continue to love what they do.

Tutor Doctor specializes in virtual and in-home tutoring for all ages and all subjects, including test prep, special needs, and improving executive functioning skills. 

When Sarah’s brother, Trent, was in high school, he was diagnosed with Autism. He was being bullied, so his mother pulled him out of school. Sarah and her mom started homeschooling him until he received his GED. He’s now independent with a consistent job as a security officer. 

Inspired by her brother, Sarah got into the teaching field to help families with daily educational challenges. She received her Missouri dual teaching certification in 2013. She then obtained her Master of Arts in Teaching degree in 2017. 

She noticed in the classroom that there was a high need for individual instruction and would spend hours after school tutoring students. Her passion is teaching and helping others.

With her husband’s unwavering support and his passion to help inspire, Paul agreed that this new adventure was a ‘must do’ .

Both Sarah and Paul are inspired to make a positive difference in the field of education for the families they serve throughout St. Louis and all 50 states.
