St. Louis County is designing a new flag and wants residents to weigh in.
The county will host a workshop Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road, at 6 p.m. to provide opportunities for residents to share their thoughts and ideas. Workshop attendees will learn about the flag design process, review preliminary concepts and contribute their own ideas and feedback.
The flag redesign is part of the ongoing Saint Louis County Brand Campaign, launched earlier this year, an initiative in partnership with the Kranzberg Arts Foundation. The county already unveiled a new logo and branding in January. The cost of the flag redesign is included in the original rebranding contract
“Saint Louis County is the economic engine of Missouri; however, our population has been stagnated for decades,” County Executive Sam Page stated in a press release. “This branding campaign and new flag will showcase the dynamic character of this county and that we are a welcoming place to live, work, and invest in your future.”
The county is also hosting workshops Tuesday at the Florissant Valley Branch, and Wednesday at the Clark Family Branch.
