The St. Louis County Police Department is joining National Coffee with a Cop Day for the first time this year. Local precinct officers will participate in the national event Wednesday, Oct. 2.

The public is invited to join officers and command staff for coffee and conversation.

Each precinct will have its own location for sipping with officers. The Jennings location will be limited to Jennings High School students for a special event.

South County: Chick-Fil-A, 4125 Lemay Ferry Road. 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Affton Southwest Precinct: Sedara Sweets, 8011 Mackenzie Road. 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Fenton Precinct: Olde Towne Donuts, 67 Fenton Plaza. 8 to 10 a.m.

North County: McDonald’s, 6883 Parker Road. 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

West County: McDonald’s, 14026 Manchester Road. 8 to 10 a.m.

Wildwood: Panera Bread, 2400 Taylor Road. 8 to 11 a.m.

Jennings Precinct: Jennings High School students only. 8 to 10 a.m.

“Coffee with a Cop” gives police and citizens the chance to interact outside of crisis situations that usually bring law enforcement officers and community members together.

Past events have been held by each individual precinct on their own, and this is the first time the entire department has held simultaneous events.
