The St. Louis County Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of a plan for the Watering Bowl dog daycare at its executive meeting Nov. 22.
With the approval of a QuikTrip at the corner of Lemay Ferry and South Lindbergh Boulevard by the Planning Commission and County Council earlier this year, the Watering Bowl’s South County location, 7409 S. Lindbergh Blvd., was forced to look for a new place to call home.
The plan calls for a for 1.63-acre facility at 12525 Worthington Drive, on an island between Worthington Drive, Mattis Road and Old Tesson Ferry Road, where there is currently an abandoned concrete factory. The recommended plan calls for a change in zoning from R-2 15,000 square foot Residence District to C-8 Planned Commercial District.
The Watering Bowl offers pet daycare, as well as overnight boarding of pets.
