Vernon W. Wagoner, 82, died July 30.

Born in St. Louis, Mr. Wagoner resided in Oakville. An Army veteran, he was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Wagoner (nee Hart); daughters and son-in-law, Madeleine Craig and Diana and Paul Rickles; sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Sue Wagoner; Michael and Peggy Wagoner; and Timothy and Debbie Wagoner; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Wagoner was preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Wagoner.

Services were at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial. Visitation was at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons, south county. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
