Two men were injured when a truck veered off Telegraph Road Monday night and ran into Hope Vineyard Church.

Around 5:55 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, officers from the South County Precinct of the St. Louis County Police Department responded to a call that a truck ran into the side of Hope Vineyard Church at 2923 Telegraph Road.

According to the account from police, a 40-year-old man was driving north on Telegraph Road in a Dodge Ram pickup truck when he became ill. The truck crossed the road into the parking lot of the church, running into the church building.

The driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 66-year-old man inside the church was hit by debris from the crash and was also taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Due to the damage to the side of the church, where windows were boarded up, a building inspector was requested to visit the site.
