Fifth-graders at Truman Elementary School, 12225 Eddie and Park Road, will, sponsor a garage sale and bake sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.
Proceeds will benefit Truman Elementary School in Lafayette, La. The school was not directly affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita, but received 65 pupils who were displaced by the hurricanes. Truman of St. Louis already has sent one shipment of clothing to Lafayette.
