Troop 584 member earns rank of Eagle Scout

Aaron Behnke, a member of Christ Memorial Lutheran Boy Scout Troop 584, was presented the rank of Eagle Scout during a recent Court of Honor.

Behnke earned 23 merit badges, was elected to the Order of the Arrow and served in various leadership positions within the troop. His Eagle project consisted of planning and supervising the planting, mulching and cleanup of the parking-lot islands at Peace Lutheran Church.

Attending his Court of Honor at Peace Lutheran Church were his parents, Tim and Tami, siblings Adam and Amanda and numerous friends and family members.

His father achieved the rank of Eagle in 1982 as a member of Troop 584, making the two the first father-and-son Eagles in the troop’s 50-plus-year history.

A senior at Lutheran High School South, Behnke plans to attend Drake University in the fall.
