Suspect arrested following carjacking, shooting in Sunset Hills

A suspect has been arrested following a carjacking and shooting that occurred Monday in the 10900 block of Gravois Industrial in Sunset Hills

Detectives from the Sunset Hills Police Department arrested Limule C. Greenwade Dec. 7 after he shot an acquaintance following a verbal argument the night of Dec. 5, according to a press release from Sunset Hills police.

On Dec. 5 at around 11:08 p.m., Sunset Hills officers responded to a call for service in the 10900 block of Gravois Industrial for a victim of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim who had sustained gunshot wounds to his face and hands. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim provided a statement to offices stating that he and an acquaintance got into a verbal argument, at which point the suspect took out a gun and shot the victim several times. After a struggle, the victim manged to exit the vehicle he and the suspect were in and get away. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

The vehicle was equipped with a tracking device and was later located unoccupied on Tesson Ferry and Mattis Road.

Several warrants were issued against Greenwade by the county prosecuting attorney’s office:

One count of vehicle hijacking with serious physical injury/deadly weapon, a class A felony
One count of armed criminal action, an unclassified felony
One count of first degree assault or attempted assault with serious physical injury or special victim, a class A felony
One count of unlawful possession of a firearm, a class D felony

Greenwade is being held without bond at the St. Louis County Justice Center.
