Pvt. Jake Summers, 18, of Concord Village recently graduated from boot camp at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, Calif., after 13 weeks of training along with 519 other men.
He was a part of Lima Company Platoon 3250. After a 10-day leave, he reported to Camp Pendleton in Virginia Beach, Va., for combat training.
A 2009 Lindbergh High graduate, he is the son of Bill Summers and Kelly McNeill.
