Born in St. Louis, Mr. Peniston resided in Hillsboro. He was an electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 1.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Peniston (nee Otto); sons, Justin Peniston and Kyle Peniston; parents, Charlie and Joyce (nee Thien) Peniston; grandmother, Marie Mergel; brother, Michael Peniston; sister and brother-in-law, Maria Lynn and Chip Karas; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Sharryn Otto.

Services and visitation were at Kutis South County Chapel. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery.
