St. Margaret Mary Alacoque students will present the fifth annual school musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” next week.
Performances will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, at the school, 4900 Ringer Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $12 for premier seating and $8 for general admission, and are available at the door.
The biblical story of Joseph is set to music in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production. When Jacob’s favorite son Joseph is sold into slavery by his envious siblings, Joseph ends up in jail, but soon starts to interpret the Pharaoh’s dreams.
Catapulted by his newfound fame, Joseph becomes an Egyptian power player.
Lloyd Webber’s music offers something for everyone, from calypso to Elvis.
